Beck & Pollitzer India has successfully completed a production line installation for a large international food manufacturer in India.
The services provided include heavy machinery moving to complete the unloading, shifting and installation of machines. Our team also undertook the fabrication, installation and commissioning of SS 304 interconnecting pipeline, SS304 and MS platform structure, hot and cold insulation, and polycarbonate sheet installation.
Moving heavy machinery requires the use of heavy-duty equipment, such as an 80-tonne crane and 15-tonne Farhana & Boom lift. A huge task such as this production line installation required a large workforce. A project manager oversaw the installation, which was carried out by two engineering personnel, seven supervisors, three HSEs, eighty technicians and two electrical technicians.
Project challenges
The main challenges of the heavy machine shifting tasks included the shifting of the air handling unit at the third floor of the TM Building, as well as the silo installation and fabrication. The installation of the SS 304 platform, which weighed 110 tonnes, also possessed a challenge. Fortunately, due to the expertise and efficient coordination of our workforce, these challenges did not hinder the team from completing all works within the agreed time frame.
