Internal press relocation in Homberg
Beck & Pollitzer Germany was commissioned, by a worldwide expert in the field of high-strength fasteners for mobility and beyond, to relocate three presses in Homberg, Germany.
In addition to both mechanical and electrical disassembly/reassembly, this machinery relocation project also included the final testing with documentation (DGUV V3) as required by German Social Accident Insurance Institutions.
During the three weeks of this project, we relocated individual machines including the press with control cabinets, reel, and drawing machine and machines weighing up to 44 tons were safely moved through the halls despite ongoing production.
The scope of work also included the adaptation of the floor pan and the creation of new cable ducts embedded in the floor. Suitable scheduling and coordination were planned by our team, as the work could only be carried out on weekends outside the core working hours of production on the site.
Our expert team, which consisted of mechanics, electricians, site managers as well as the HSE management, worked hard to finish the project on time and to the complete satisfaction of the client. If you need any help with your next machinery relocation project, please contact your local office.
