Custom case for a relocation project

22 tons bespoke case for a relocation project

This ThrowbackThursday is from the 1960s and shows a case that was specially designed for a relocation project.

The case itself weighed 22 tons, so it could safely support the table of a large gear hobbing machine. Inside the case, the machine was completely sealed in polythene, with the lifting parts protruding through the seals.
