Custom-built exhibition stand for Esso, one of the world’s leading providers of fuel

This ThrowbackThursday photo shows a Beck & Pollitzer exhibition stand that was created for Esso. It was built for display for the 1961 Engineering and Marine Exhibition at Olympia, London, UK.

Esso is the trading name for ExxonMobil and its related companies. It is well-known today for its roadside garages, where diesel car owners can fill up their vehicles. However, as this photo shows, Esso was also advertising its proficiency in provide diesel fuel for modern railways. It shows a display of various trains already serviced by Esso, highlighting fuel efficiency for potential new contractors.

Beck & Pollitzer no longer create exhibition stands for clients but is involved in both automotive and chemical manufacturing industries. This includes installations for Pharmaceutical companies, to the high-risk dismantling of sensitive chemical handling machinery.
