Beck & Pollitzer Packaging Department preparing 3 x 5 tons Mill Rolls for shipment
This week’s ThrowbackThursday is from the 1960s and shows a project from Beck & Pollitzer’s Export Packing Department.
The team received three 5-ton Mill Rolls into our Bailey Road Packing Works premises, ready for redistribution overseas. The Mill Rolls, which were designed for 84” Warming Mill, was accompanied by an 8-ton Reduction gear for the same machine.
Beck & Pollitzer preserved and packed the Mill Rolls and Reduction gear before shipping them for David Bridge & Co. Ltd. David Bridge was a manufacturer of rubber processing machinery and friction clutches, which was based in Rochdale, near Manchester.
Today, Beck & Pollitzer delivers relocation projects for manufacturers from a wide range of sectors, which still includes Metals & Minerals, and rubber treatment factories.
