Beck & Pollitzer HQ Dartford – 1960s

This photo shows the current Beck & Pollitzer Head Office when it was first acquired in the 1960s.

Originally based in London, Beck & Pollitzer moved from the purpose-built Universal House to its current premises in Dartford, Kent (pictured). Due to rapid international expansion, it was no longer prudent to have a single large office and warehouse hub in the capital. Instead, it was more cost-efficient and practical to spread the company’s presence over the UK, as well as expanding internationally.

Interestingly, the new HQ in Dartford was only 10 minutes away from where John Beck—one of the company’s founders—lived during the last two decades of his life. Small world!

We’re excited (and a little emotional) to announce that this March we’re leaving the base that’s been our headquarters since the 1960s. We’re moving from Dartford to, well, Dartford!

Our new address from 31 March 2021:
Beck & Pollitzer Engineering Ltd
2nd Floor, Suite 2, Riverbridge House
Crossways Business Park, Anchor Boulevard
Dartford, Kent DA2 6QH
