Beck & Pollitzer undertook another industrial installation project for a renowned client from the automotive industry to transport and install a 2000 tons press in Bursa, Turkey.
This extensive installation project which took 411 project days was completed with the cooperation of our expert supervising team from Beck & Pollitzer which included a site manager, electrician, pipe fitter and commissioning personnel from Germany.
Our team in Turkey had to unload the low-bed trucks and transport the equipment to the assembly area. Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) was used for transportation as lowbed trucks could not access the press assembly area. The project’s next stage was the mechanical and electrical assembly and piping of the various machinery and equipment.
The assembly process of the Bed, Slide and Crown, which are the main parts of the press, was carried out with the help of the Gantry. To complete this heavy press installation, various cranes such as 35T, 75T, and 120T were used for the assembly of Connecting Rods, Connecting Rod Shafts, Moving bolsters, and Tie Rod shaft equipment.
