Relocation of production line from Sunderland to Nove Mesto
Beck & Pollitzer have completed a production line relocation for a client from the automotive industry from the Sunderland depot in the UK to the Nove Mesto Depot in Slovakia.
The work involved the dismantling, palletising and packaging of equipment at the UK plant. The equipment was then loaded using 5.5T forklift trucks and cherry pickers. The transport vehicles were loaded and this equipment was used again in the unloading process.
There were some challenges faced by our team of machine movers such as COVID restrictions on either side as well as strict time schedules. Fortunately, due to the excellent coordination from the UK and Slovakian teams, these were efficiently overcome.
Thanks to each team’s skilled output, the project was done within the scheduled plan, which started in June 2021 and finished by the end of August 2021. The project lasted a total of nine weeks and proves Beck & Pollitzer’s skilled coordination on an international scale.
