Beck & Pollitzer delivered mechanical and electrical installation support for a major new tyre manufacturing facility in Tangier, Morocco. The project involved the installation and integration of automated conveyor systems and production equipment across multiple areas of the plant, supporting the development and ramp-up of the new manufacturing operation.
Delivered over 120 days and 70,560 planned project hours, the programme required close coordination between site management, engineering teams and specialist installation crews across several production zones.
Scope of work
Beck & Pollitzer provided a complete on-site team comprising site management, mechanical and electrical supervisors, and specialist installation crews.
The mechanical installation scope included:
- Internal transport and positioning of automated production equipment
- Floor marking in coordination with engineering teams
- Mechanical assembly of conveyor systems and associated equipment
- Levelling and alignment
- Integration of equipment across multiple production zones
The electrical scope included cable tray installation, cable routing and connection of switch cabinets, supporting the integration of the automated systems throughout the facility.
Multi-zone automated production line integration
A key feature of the project was the installation of interconnected automated systems across several areas of the tyre manufacturing plant.
Effective coordination between mechanical and electrical workstreams was essential to ensure equipment was installed in the correct sequence and aligned with the wider production layout. Beck & Pollitzer worked closely with the customer’s engineering and site teams throughout the project, using customer-provided lifting equipment and plant where required.
Our machinery installation expertise supported the controlled assembly, positioning, levelling and alignment of equipment, while internal machinery moving capabilities enabled production assets to be transferred safely into their designated installation areas.
Supporting automated manufacturing start-up
All activities were carried out in accordance with international health, safety and quality requirements, with structured site supervision maintained throughout the installation.
The combination of mechanical installation, electrical integration and coordinated on-site management enabled work to progress safely and to programme across the different production areas.
Upon completion of Beck & Pollitzer’s scope, the installed automated conveyor systems and associated equipment were prepared for commissioning and start-up, supporting the wider ramp-up of the new tyre manufacturing facility.
