Vulcanisation press relocation from Tunisia to the Czech Republic

Beck & Pollitzer completed the international relocation of a vulcanisation press from Mateur, Tunisia, to Rudník in the Czech Republic, supporting a Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer with the safe transfer and reinstatement of critical production equipment.
Delivered over 30 days and 450 project hours, the project required coordinated mechanical, electrical and logistics expertise across two countries. From initial dismantling through to final positioning and reassembly, our machinery moving team carefully planned each stage to protect the equipment, maintain component traceability and support efficient installation at the new production site.
Scope of work
Beck & Pollitzer provided an end-to-end machine moving and relocation service covering:
- Mechanical and electrical dismantling of the vulcanisation press and associated equipment
- Safe electrical isolation, including LOTO procedures and primary power disconnection
- Detailed component identification, demarcation and match-marking
- Specialist packing for international transport
- Coordination of overseas transportation from Tunisia to the Czech Republic
- Unloading and internal machinery movement at the destination facility
- Precise positioning, levelling and anchoring of the press
- Reassembly of the press, conveyors and associated safety systems
- Electrical reconnection and preparation for operational handover
Specialist machinery moving and installation
The relocation involved substantial production equipment requiring controlled lifting and handling at both the origin and destination sites.
A 50-tonne mobile crane, high-capacity forklifts and specialist tooling supported dismantling, loading, unloading and final positioning. Detailed match-marking during dismantling helped maintain component identification and streamline the subsequent machinery installation process in Rudník.
Once delivered to the Czech Republic, the vulcanisation press was positioned, levelled and anchored before the press, conveyors and associated safety systems were fully reassembled.
For projects where dimensional accuracy is critical, Beck & Pollitzer can also support machinery installation with industrial metrology and site layout services, including precision measurement, alignment and verification.
Safety throughout the relocation
Safety was a central requirement throughout the project, particularly during electrical isolation, dismantling and reinstatement.
The team followed established Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for primary power disconnection and reconnection, alongside controlled lifting and machine-moving practices throughout the mechanical and electrical scope. This structured approach enabled the equipment to be dismantled, transported internationally and reassembled safely while meeting the operational requirements of the receiving facility.
