In a recent project within the automotive and industrial manufacturing sector, a major relocation was successfully executed, involving the transfer of two critical fuel injection pump production lines. This intricate operation required the movement of equipment from a facility in Munich, Germany, to a production site in České Budějovice, Czech Republic.
The scope of work included the complete dismantling, packaging, and transportation of the production lines, followed by their reinstallation at the new location. The project involved 30 trucks for the transport, each loaded and offloaded using 3-ton forklifts. The relocation team faced the significant challenge of ensuring precise match marking of both mechanical and electrical components, which was crucial for the successful reassembly and functionality of the production lines at their new location.
Despite the complexity of the task, the project was completed over 11 weeks, from July to September 2023. The entire team’s meticulous planning and coordinated effort ensured that the relocation was executed safely, on time, and in full compliance with quality standards.
