Beck & Pollitzer continue to answer the demand for warehouse automation and remain a fulfilment leader by installing goods-to-person automated storage and retrieval systems, also known as Autostores.
We have been awarded an extensive Autostore installation project, including complete mechanical and electrical installations for a clothing distribution centre in Greensboro, NC. The installation in progress has included the assembly of service and overhang mezzanines, 1444 grid cells, and 36 robots. The initial start date was met with a same-day suspension due to the site being incomplete which then required all project equipment and materials to be loaded, transported and stored by Beck Pollitzer USA until further notice.
After two months of demobilisation, the project began in mid-August and will finish in early October. Outside of the delayed project launch, the installation has been safely executed, on time and within budget gaining us another 100% satisfied client.
