Strip-out project for a car producer in Hungary

As automotive companies require to adapt to changing markets and implement the next generation of car production equipment, existing old production lines need to be removed. For this reason, a local car producer in North Hungary contacted our Hungarian team for a strip-out of the old equipment from their live production environment.

This extensive machinery removal project included mechanical and electrical services as well as piping. While the rest of the factory was in production, approx. 800 tons of machinery was removed from the body shop which included more than 200 robots and accessories such as turn tables, welding guns, etc.

To make sure that the removal goes smoothly we used various lifting equipment such as 3t and 7t fork lifters, cherry pickers, and 40t compact cranes. To meet the tight deadlines of the strip-out project, our expert team of electricians, pipefitters and mechanical engineers from Beck & Pollitzer Slovakia collaborated with their Hungarian colleagues.

After 11 weeks of hard work by our team, the project was delivered successfully on time and some of the removed robots were donated to the universities. This project is another great example of collaboration between our business units. If you plan a project on a global scale, please contact us.
