Successful cardboard press removal for a packaging manufacturer

One of our April projects placed our Beck & Pollitzer team in Greer, South Carolina serving the equipment needs of a packaging manufacturing client. This heavy machine relocation required the removal of an existing cardboard press to an onsite warehouse and replacing it with a new 91,000 lb machine.

Higher than normal weather temperatures caused the asphalt ground to be soft so the relocation of the press required the use of steel plates to prevent rigging equipment from sinking. The load management (pictured) also demanded three lifts operating simultaneously to secure a flawless relocation into the warehouse’s low clearance ceiling.

The strategy and safety-focused teamwork executed by our experienced crew enabled a sure-footed move and solid landing completing the first phase of the project. If you need help with your next machinery removal project, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
