Beck & Pollitzer France undertook a large international logistic project for a renowned automotive manufacturer. The goal of relocating an entire model Tooling (molds and dies) from Spain to Russia was challenging – our team had to work through the restrictions set by Covid-19 while still keeping to the appropriate health and safety guidelines. Beck & Pollitzer France, Spain, Russia and Italy collaborated to deliver the project successfully.
The scope of works included:
- Site visits, preparation & coordination of the picking in supplier’s factories as well as Tier 1 & 2 suppliers (up to 50 different locations located in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Switzerland)
- Picking-up the dies & jigs, packing and transportation to the final destination or the warehouse for consolidation/optimization
- Detailed pictures & reports, including export packing lists (essential for customs to Russia & Uzbekistan)
- Transportation to final destination including Customs clearance support (Russia / Uzbekistan)
In total, over 500 trucks were used to relocate the entire production tooling.
Despite the pandemic creating challenges for all international trade, Beck & Pollitzer delivered an automotive production from Spain to Russia, thanks to a highly professional and effective global network.
